Walking Tour
Cumberland's Historic District is perfect for a walking tour of our lively downtown and renowned Washington Street residential district.
The first 11 stops on the tour include roughly 30 minutes of walking time, not counting time spent at our attraction sites. It covers approximately 1.25 miles. The last leg to the 12th stop is a steeper, 1/2 mile climb up Washington Street that adds 10-15 minutes the trip. Click here to review and download a series of audio podcasts about the tour.
Our walking tour is a healthy relaxing experience for visitors who may be in town to enjoy other outdoor attractions like the C&O Canal Parkway and the Great Allegheny Passage Trail - equally enjoyable for groups, families and couples.
